Description

An investigation of the cultural context of the Victorian age (1830-1900), focusing on dominant issues of the times as explored by writers of both prose and poetry. Among the authors studied are Tennyson, the Brownings, Arnold, Carlyle, Mill, the Brontes, and Ruskin.
