Description

This course is available only to students seeking a second certification after completion of a MED course in secondary school curriculum.
Administration of instructional curriculum (for elementary curriculum at grades K-8) will introduce the student to the knowledge, performance competencies, implementation strategies, and evaluation criteria needed by school administrators. The course is designed to provide the student with current Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) informational guidelines relative to leadership of a quality curriculum needed for state accreditation. Administrative functions and responsibilities surrounding instructional curriculum; as well as horizontal and vertical alignment issues and their relation to student achievement will also be discussed.
