Description

This is a course designed to educate the student on forwards, commodity futures and options and their use as a pricing tool with an emphasis on agricultural contracts. Students will be introduced to market mechanics and should able to apply learned knowledge in actual marketing situations. By the end of the course, students should be able to identify the use and risk of hedging strategies. Because of the subject matter, this course will be based on individual performance.
