Description

This course will provide students with an overview of the major pieces of federal legislation that form the basis for the guidelines most employers must comply with in the workplace. The laws covered are those that regulate the workplace against various types of employment discrimination (Civil Rights Act 1964, Title VII), immigration requirements, benefits, and work place behavior. Laws governing the collective bargaining process are also reviewed. 3 Credits
