Interim Equine Practicum I (EQS 142)

Description

Students will have direct hands-on experience caring for a string of horses during an interim period when school is not in session. Part of the course will include the opportunity to ride and exercise WWU horses. A small scale research project utilizing the horses and facilities is part of the requirement. (Requires 60 hours of participation, typically spread over 10 days.) (Prerequisite: Permission of department chair)
