Description

EDU 556 is designed for the student with an emphasis major in the M.Ed. and C&I. The student will select a topic, design and begin an action research project. Experimental, quasi-experimental and non-experimental designs will be used that include historical, naturalistic study and/or ethnography. Process to determine and use basic statistical data through computations will be incorporated based on the course materials that are introduced in EDU520, Research Design.

The student will also examine the literature of self-selected theoretical literature and their relevant pedagogical strategies for the purpose of designing an appropriate study that can be used in a school classroom or any educational setting. The student will write a report suitable for publication in an applied journal following APA style.
