Alarm One is a security company in California who decided it was okay to do a team-building exercise that made employees engage as what many would consider inappropraite workplace activity. They were forced to eat baby food, wear diapers, and spank one another on the butt with their rival company's yard sign. One particular employee quit and then sued and a jury just recently awarded her $1.7 million in damages. While reading this I thought to myself "at what point did this company think forcing its employees to do a team building exercise of this nature was okay?" That was a lawsuit waiting to happen. Unfortuantely this company did not ask themselves the same question I did and it cost them a large amount of money and I'm sure anyone aware of this will not have any desire to every work for them, or possibly even use their services. There are thousands of team building exercises this company could have choosen that actually would have strengthened them- instead this has done nothing but severly hurt them.
