If desired, you can use the My Info portlet to modify the way your name shows up in most areas of the portal. This includes the display of your name in places visible only to you, as well as in places visible to other people -- such as the Group Directory for Campus Groups you belong to, and in attribution for posts you have published in the Forums portlet. If you are a student, your name will also change in the Coursemates portlet for each class that you take and in the class roster shown to faculty members.
When managing your name, you can do any of the following:
· Enter a preferred first name (if you do this, the preferred first name will replace your actual first name of record).
· Hide your middle name.
· Add a prefix, such as Miss or Doctor.
· In some cases, add a suffix. However, note that this feature is not always enabled.
