Signing in to an external account

If you have added login details for your external e-mail accounts, you can use the Message Center to sign in to any one of those accounts.

To sign in to your external e-mail accounts:

1.        Navigate to an instance of the Message Center. (By default, the Message Center is a page in your My Pages context.)

2.        If you have saved account details for more than one e-mail account, you may want to choose Manage > Manage E-mail Accounts to see which one you've selected to sign in to. If you want to make a change, select the appropriate radio button and click Save.

3.        Click Manage > Sign on to E-mail. Your browser should open a new tab that shows your external e-mail account. In most cases you will be automatically logged in, though some browsers may vary in the way they handle this (for example, they might only be updated with your user name, and you still have to enter the password).

If you do not see the Manage > Sign on to E-mail option, that means you have not saved any login details. You have to do that before you can use the Message Center to sign in to your accounts. For details, see Adding login details.
