Bookmarks

The Bookmarks portlet can be used by Administrators to create links to URLs and make them available to the entire Internet Campus Community.

The highest level of grouping displayed is called a Set which is similar to a header.  This provides easy sorting and ordering capabilities for the bookmarks within them.  You can also import bookmarks that may have been defined in your Learning Management System (LMS).

Functions

The Manage menu (which will be displayed after clicking on the Go to Main screen link) has the following options available:

• Show/Hide Editing Tools

• Add a Bookmark

• Add a Set

• Edit a Set

• Order Sets

Preferences

Click on the wrench icon and select the Preferences tab.

• Order Bookmarks Alphabetically

  Select this checkbox to automatically display your bookmarks alphabetically.  If you would like to manually order your bookmarks, this option must not be selected.

• Order Sets Alphabetically

  Select this checkbox to automatically display your bookmark sets alphabetically.  If you would like to manually order your bookmark sets, this option must not be selected.

• Show Empty Sets

  You may select this checkbox to display sets that are empty (that is, no bookmarks have been associated with a set).
